The Uglies p.111-125

             Tally has decided to work for the specials, and is on her way to The Smoke. The Smoke is a secret place where uglies can go who don't want to be pretty. She hopes to get to the smoke, activate her locket, and get it over with. The only problem is she doesn't even know if she'll make it to The Smoke alive. The last thing that Tally wants to do is die ugly. She was betraying her friend to be pretty!
