The Hunger Games p. 83-90

               Katniss is waiting anxiously to go get a grade. She was, however, stumped. In order to get graded, she must first preform one of her best skills. She knows she is good with a bow and arrow, but didn't realize how good until she started shooting in the practice gym. As soon as she picked up the bow, people started staring. Yet, it wasn't until she started shooting that she really got people's attention. She shot five ducks in two shots. She then, at that moment, knew what to preform in front of the judges. She waited for a long time, but before she new it, she heard her name on the intercom. She stepped onto the large stage. The judges were sitting in a row with a huge table in front of them. It was filled with pastries and wine. A lot of wine. Katniss felt she might have trouble getting their attention, but she would try anyway. So, she preformed her routine, as practiced, and the judges didn't even glance at her. They would rather drink wine then focus n their job. Katniss was furious. She knew she needed to catch their eye, so she saw the suckling pig on the table, grabbed her arrow, and shot it right through the apple. The judges were looking at her now. Katniss excused herself, and left without a word.
