Hunger Games p.61-73

                Cianna has made Katniss the girl who was on fire, literally. After Cianna walked into the room, he gave Katniss a black uni suit and told her to put it on. He then gave her boots and a head piece that looked extremely strange. She thought it was a little bit strange, but then Cianna explained it to her. They were going to light her on fire! Not real fire, of course, but an extremely realistic "flame." Katniss was scared that the whole plan would go wrong and she would end up being lit on fire. Instead, she remembered what Haymitch said and let the stylists do what they want. Before she knew it, she was at the opening ceremonies and watching the other districts enter. They were going to be last because they were in District 12, the last district, and the coal district, which is what inspired her costume. When she finally was in the field, she felt a tingle and looked up at the screen which displayed her face to the world. She was, or appeared to be, on fire! Peeta was on fire too! She then heard the crowd cheering her name, and she started blowing kisses to the crowd, like she was a celebrity. When she finally got to her position on the field, she noticed she was holding hands with Peeta, the boy who gave her bread.
